Hello, I'm Ben Ling

I am a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Electronic Arts, previously PhD in CS advised by Prof. Michiel van de Panne at the University of British Columbia. My research focus is simulating realistic virtual characters using mocap, physics and ML/RL animation techniques, e.g., this, MotionVAEs, brachiation, and InterMimic. I build and deploy large-scale animation and simulation tools used across EA studios.
